Who said fun in the mud is just for J’Ouvert morning? Pack up your family and join us on the L’eau Michel Mud Volcano and Beach Tour in south Trinidad. Don’t be misled by the term “volcano”. Unlike other islands of the Caribbean, Trinidad is not volcanic in its origin. The mud “volcanoes” therefore, while they erupt and bubble intermittently, the flows of “Mud Lava” are cool and silky smooth to the touch.

Imagine yourself in a Martian spa as you sink into the buoyant, cool, clean mud of this unspoiled natural treasure. (Scientists have discovered volcanoes, similar to those found in Trinidad, on Mars) As the adults enjoy this unique mud bath spa experience, the children can safely muddy themselves and each other to their heart’s content. Complete the tour with a 30-minute nature trek through teak forests to the beach, where you can swim the mud away.  Enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest as you complete the approximately 60-minute trek back to the starting point.

On the return trip to our assembly point, we will stop in Debe for a gastronomical experience like no other as we sample the “Street Food” on offer in that famed southern town.
